An Insider’s DMA2010 Highlights

I cannot tell you enough how excited I am about this year’s show! I’ve been at the DMA a few years, but this is the first year that I’ve been involved with Annual from the very start, and to see what goes behind the scenes is unbelievable.

This year, I have been working on a few things that I’d like to share with you. We are very excited to be bringing back the post-conference intensives! Five workshops will be targeting these five topics: Creative Strategies, Search Engine Marketing, Database Marketing, Mobile Marketing, and Retention and Loyalty. Each workshop is split into three parts that take place Wednesday and Thursday, October 13 and 14, and, if you attend all three parts, you will receive a certificate of completion! This is great for those of you who want to show your company you were actually there to learn and not just enjoying San Fran! 😉

A couple of other exciting things we are putting together this year are the Search Engine Marketing Experience and Web Usability Labs. Andrew Beckman, CEO of Location3 Media, will be conducting the Search Engine Marketing Experience Lab. He will choose people from the audience in advance to go over their own website in front of the audience – who knows, it might even be yours! For the Web Usability Lab, sign-up will be available later this summer for 15-minute 1-on-1 sessions with a web leader from Business Online. There is also a session conducted on the same topic.

Finally, for the first year ever, we are doing an Ambassador’s networking reception, which is happening on Sunday afternoon in the Exhibit Hall! This is for all of you first-time attendees. DMA2010 can be overwhelming. By coming to this reception, you will be able to talk with some Annual veterans about how to get the most out of the show.
