Otis Maxwell Examines the Creative Side of Social Media at DMA 2010

No, that’s not him and he’s not on a horse, but Otis Maxwell does promise to cover the “Old Spice Man” viral campaign in his DMA2010 session, “How Twitter Killed Direct Marketing Copy (Just Kidding)”. It’s one of a number of case histories demonstrating how some apparently random social/viral marketers are in fact using very ingenious traditional communications and brand strategies to get their point across. (And, this being the DMA, he’ll also talk about how traditional DM’ers can make the transition to being successful in social.)

This session includes hands-on tips and best practices for copywriters and creative practitioners and those who work with them. It happens at 3:00 pm Monday, October 11 in Room 125 and makes a perfect warm-up for the “Social Media Faceoff” immediately following.
